Deathcore band Suicide Silence's new album No Time To Bleed is freaking brutal. I picked up the special edition cd from best buy because I was a HUGE fan of their previous album The Cleansing. The No Time To Bleed special edition comes with photos and profiles of each band member, a code for a free t-shirt, and a sweet in the studio behind the scenes mini documentary. Now lets get down to the music. In comparison, the two albums sound completely different. Mitch Lucker's vocals sound completely revamped and 100% more sick. There's also a sweet instrumental song where in the background you can here a 911 call being placed about a woman getting mauled by a monkey. I looked up to see if that was a real 911 call or not and turns out it was an actual real recording. Listen to it. It's creepy. One downside is that there aren't as many catchy breakdowns or lyrics as The Cleansing had. That is easily forgettable however with Mitch's new sound and the addition of some pretty sweet guitar solos. Overall, Suicide Silence's new album No Time To Bleed is an excellent entry into the deathcore genre. I could have done without some of the flagrant drug references though. No Time To Bleed gets a 4.5/5Tuesday, October 20, 2009
